Federal land, there must be balance.

Threaten preserved lands and lose the Outdoor Industry’s largest trade show was the ultimatum to Utah’s Gov. Gary Herbert.  Las Vegas would gladly host this economic powerhouse of trades shows if balance between his energy agenda and land is not met.  4,000 members strong, the Outdoor Industry Association has long been stewards of preserving land along with many brands who align with outdoor enthusiasts.   Although this isn’t the first time the state has tried to impose it’s desire to take over some of Utah’s 25 million acres for energy, I think we can cumulatively agree it is a bad move on all levels if protection is removed.
